Draguignan’s Laboratory of Conservation, Restoration and Research specialises in the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage objects. The work they execute is of the highest quality in a great number of diverse and recognised activities, all of which contribute to their significant reputation throughout Europe.
The expertise of the team at the Laboratory of Conservation, Restoration and Research includes, but is not limited to, the restoration of metals and of composite materials, casting, art education for the general public, and research.

The team at LC2R Draguignan consists of two conservators :
Jacques Rebière : director of LC2R and conservator specialising in metalwares, holding a degree from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne; healso holds a Master’s degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage Objects and a diplôme d’Etat endorsed by the Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche
Françoise Mielcarek : conservator specialising in metalwares and composite materials, holding a degree from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, she also holds a Master’s degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage Objects and a diplôme d’Etat

In addition to specialising in metal conservation and restoration, the laboratory is also proficient in non-destructive analyses (using radiography and scanners etc. to examine the object without touching it),cultural engineering (organising cultural events) and training for professionals.
Since starting in October 2009, Magali Asquier has worked in close collaboration with the LC2R where she has become an authority in the domain of ceramics and glass. This partnership, which is reflected through joint projects, is part of a development process creating a network of compatible professional partners.
Since 1st March 2012, the LC2R has become the leading Société Coopérative de Production in France.
